The Mediterranean Institute
Think the great Euro-Mediterranean region is thinking the Mediterranean in its economic and territorial dimensions, this is the premise of the founders of the Institute. The consideration of this great region can be abstract thought and independent spaces within it.
The Mediterranean Institute aims to contribute to economic and territorial cohesion of the space, by its reflection and intellectual productions, its strategic direction and its cooperation.
The Mediterranean Institute directs all its activities and expertise to serve the territorial actors: European Commission, states, regions, departments, cities, Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The Institute supports them in the process of building a genuine Euro-Mediterranean region. The Institute aims to be the spokesman of the Mediterranean actors to promote a global and integrated policies in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
The Mediterranean Institute is now recognized by the European Commission, the World Bank and the main Mediterranean territorial actors organization, all convinced of the importance of partnerships in the wider Euro-Mediterranean region.
