MED 2007-2013
The Transnational Cooperation Programme MED 2007-2013
The Transnational Cooperation Programme MED 2007-2013 Mediterranean allows actors to extend and deepen the cooperation process initiated during the Interreg III B Medocc.
Its main objectives:
- Improving the competitiveness of the area to ensure growth and employment for future generations (Lisbon strategy).
- Promotion of territorial cohesion and environmental protection in a logic of sustainable development (Gothenburg strategy).
The Med program gives particular importance to projects of strategic nature, which might help solve the challenges facing the regions of southern Europe. Tenders can be arranged for specific lead to the emergence of these projects.
In general, there is no question of leaving the projects to exchange experiences or study the prominence they held over the period 2000-2006. On the contrary, be privileged truly transnational projects and concrete.
Four priority areas were agreed:
- Axis 1: Strengthening innovation capabilities
- Priority 2: Environmental protection and promotion of a sustainable territorial development
- Axis 3: Improving mobility and territorial accessibility
- Axis 4: Promotion of a polycentric and integrated development of the Med space
