Mediterranean countries facing crisis: report FEMISE and EIB

FEMISE in collaboration with FEMIP (Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership) of the EIB (European Investment Bank), published on 29 November 2010 a study entitled "Crisis and ways out of the crisis Mediterranean partners FEMIP countries. " This study describes the reasons why the South were more resilient to the crisis than their northern neighbors and provides information to enable them to maintain macroeconomic and financial stability while preparing for the crisis.

FEMISE

Femise receives financial support from the European Commission. The program is in its third phase since January 2006.

This phase resulted in the Femise EIB signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Brussels in March 2006. This memorandum ensures support EIB / FEMIP activities Femise and registration corresponding to thematic objectives FEMIP year program of research and activity Femise. It will enable the EIB to seek expertise Femise for studies and recommendations.

The Network, in addition to general economic relations, achieved:
- A report on the economic situation of women in the Mediterranean, at the request of the Commission DG Relex and EuropeAid
- A report on the European Neighbourhood Policy, at the request of the Commission DG Relex.
