Forum 2005 - The Mediterranean Cities 10 years after Barcelona

On the occasion of the first Forum meeting of local and regional Mediterranean, held in Barcelona in 2005 or 10 after the launch of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, the Mediterranean Institute was selected by the city of Barcelona and the region Catalonia to prepare the report "Mediterranean Cities 10 years after Barcelona" offers an overview of 10 cities in the southern Mediterranean and identifies 10 projects for each. The projects identified are considered essential to meet the challenge of sustainable economic development of environmentally and socially.

Forum 2008 - The new Mediterranean governance

On the occasion of the second event of the Forum of local and regional Mediterranean, held in Marseilles in 2008, the Mediterranean Institute coordinated the development of a vision report analyzing the rise of territorial authorities identifying and Mediterranean avenues for better cooperation for sustainable development of Mediterranean.

Forum 2010 - Urban projects and territorial strategies in the Mediterranean

For the third Forum of local and regional Mediterranean, the Mediterranean Institute was entrusted with the coordination of an evaluation of urban projects and territorial strategies in the Mediterranean today. Environmental stresses, and internationalization of metropolisation urban, urban sprawl, increasing role of local and private operators ... the study by the Institute of the Mediterranean offers a comprehensive analysis of issues and constraints of the "Mediterranean city" Contemporary through the study of ten cases.
